OIF @ OFC/NFOEC 2006 – Multi-Vendor Interop of Very Long Reach Optical Links

OFC/NFOEC 2006 – March 7-9, 2006 – Anaheim, California

OIF showcased a demonstration of multiple manufacturer’s transmitters utilizing alternate signaling technologies and standard NRZ receivers to support potential new application codes in ITU-T G959.1. The potential application codes are a result of liaison discussions between OIF and ITU for links operating at 120 km transmission distances at 10 GB/s over G.652 optical fiber.

The following companies participated:
Azna
Essex
Kodeos
Opnext
Vitesse
