OIF @ OFC/NFOEC 2006 – MULTI-VENDOR INTEROP OF VERY LONG REACH OPTICAL LINKS

OIF showcased a demonstration of multiple manufacturer’s transmitters utilizing alternate signaling technologies and standard NRZ receivers to support potential new application codes in ITU-T G959.1. The potential application codes are a result of liaison discussions between OIF and ITU for links operating at 120 km transmission distances at 10 GB/s over G.652 optical fiber.
